My Vet Adventures
I had the privilege of going to Haiti twice with Christian Veterinary Missions. I went on these mission trips while I was still in veterinary college. I was able to work along the side of one of the most wonderful people I know; Dr. Kelly Crowdis (https://cvm.org/long-term-staff/crowdis/). During this time we were able to help the local people of Haiti with veterinary care, information on zoonotic diseases, rabies prevention, and spreading the love of Jesus. Haiti has a special place in my heart, and I do hope to return one day.
Zoo/Aquariums
I will always have a passion for aquariums and zoo life. That is why every opportunity I was able to get to tag along at an aquarium or zoo, I jumped right on it. One of my favorite experiences was participating in an internship at the New Jersey Aquarium and working alongside the vet that worked there. It was amazing!! I was so happy every single day, especially assisting on a 300lbs sea turtle surgery. I love turtles.
Clinical Cases at MSU-CVM
This last group of pictures that I put under this category is very special and near and dear to my heart. They were all cases I saw in veterinary college, mainly 3rd and 4th year. Each and every single one of these helped develop me into the Vet I am today. I will always cherish these cases and I am thankful for each and every one. I am not going to write about them in this blog, but please reach out if you want to know more.
